Dr. Nathan Lewis has served as the Principal Investigator of the Beckman Institute Molecular Materials Resource Center at Caltech since 1992. His presentation will describe and evaluate the challenges – technical, political and economic – involved with widespread adoption of renewable energy technologies.

Dr. Mark Jaccard’s most recent book, Hot Air, co-authored by Jeffrey Simpson and Nic Rivers, is published by McClelland and Stewart. Lead author for policy in the upcoming Global Energy Assessment, his 2005 book, Sustainable Fossil Fuels, won the Donner Prize for best policy book in Canada. Dr. Jaccard will sign copies of his book during the reception.
